|
At first glance, it may seem that everything after "Charter-By-The-Seat" is just
a subset of the first two, and you would be right
in the most simplistic model. However what if you need to pay an AME for the sign-off
of a camera mount? What if you want to offer caviar to the executives? What if you must
provide ground transport to your shuttle passengers? What about all that time sitting on
the ground waiting for the Director's next take, or for the fire boss to radio in? And of course,
dead-heading is something customers and operators alike don't want to pay for.
Any of these caveats are potential costs and potential revenue. As a comprehensive information system that places revenue management front and center, Barnstormer™ allows you to easily capture these and many other nuances of your operation. Build your schedules, and offer the most competitive prices in your market. |

Sample Screen Shots:
The folowing examples are by no means the whole story. They aim to give you some idea of Barnstormer's™ rich functionality and intuitive user interface.
Barnstormer's™ booking interface is highly user-configurable for different operational paradigms. In this shot, the large white area represents the day with the time of day listed down the left side . Across the top are the aircraft registries or whatever other identifying nomenclature you wish to use. Within the white area are the individual flights with the passengers' names listed and the type or level of service they have booked. Various colour coding and short forms are used (e.g. a check mark means passengers have checked-in). Individual passengers can be dragged around and dropped on new time slots, different aircraft, and/or on another existing flight. Similary entire flights can be moved around to new times, new aircraft, or onto existing flights.
Flights and/or passengers can be dragged and dropped on different days in the calendar. The tabbed control on the lower left provides a repository for flights or passengers with as yet indefinite status. Various other icons and menus allow for the duplication or transposition of data.
Barnstormer is ergonomic. Data entry processes flow logically (generally from top left to bottom right), and everything can be done via keyboard-only if desired.
Barnstormer offers both real-time internet booking capabilities and online booking requests. The latter allows you to advertise your services online and accept requests for services online which are then queued on the web server to be downloaded and processed by your staff when they are next connected to the internet.
Weight and Balance calculations are easy. First select the template configuration (top left) of the aircraft in question. Next, assign passenger seats by clicking a passenger's name, traversing the mouse over their weight, then clicking the mouse on the appropriate station. The same is done for the pilot, baggage, equipment, fuel, and any other items you wish. Like everywhere else in Barnstormer, the whole process can be done without the use of a mouse quickly and efficiently.
In this example, the aircraft is an AS350 B helicopter with dual front passenger seats. Another configuration might be for the same helicopter with a WesCam gyro mount installed. An entirely different configuration template would be defined. Indeed, an operator might have any number of different aircraft with any number of different configurations - all easily user-defined.
Once weights have been assigned, a click of the "Rebuild" button will calculate the aircraft's C of G and gross weight. And if a C of G envelope has been defined in the system, it will also advise whether the aircraft is within limits. These results are retained in the system database and can serve as ground based W & B copies as required by some JARs.
